My family and I spent our Thanksgiving doing the same thing we do ever year. We always put our tree up after our Thanksgiving meal. When I received a lead on a fundraiser a few days ago I was so excited and looking forward to branching out my avenues of income with my GC business. I definitely wasn't thinking that this fundraiser would pull at my heart strings. This fundraiser was for a sweet 16 year old boy who needed to earn money to attend a 20 day trip over seas to participate in a student ambassador program. This young man who I will call C is so determined and dedicated to earning the funds required to experience an amazing opportunity of a life time. I spoke with his mom who would love to see this happen for him but could not figure out how they would be able to afford the fees associated with the trip. That is when I was contacted about a fundraiser that could help them to raise some of the funds needed. My heart instantly was touched when speaking with C. I asked him what his plan was for his fundraiser. This was his answer. He is going to ask approximately 10 members of his family, school or local organizations to assist in his quest for earning the required fees. His hopes are that they will be able to take their scratch and sniff fundraiser packet to all of their friends and family reaching out for support for this wonderful young man. After speaking with him I am dedicating my self to helping his cause, for him to reach out at the age of 16 and take his future in his own hands to make it a better life I have decided to donate my entire earnings to his cause. As I type I am sitting on a lounge chair on my back deck, soaking up the warmth of the sun as I reflect on the last year. So many wonderful things have happened for my life that I feel nothing but appreciative and grateful. I have been so fortunate over the last year, starting my own business, being able to watch my grand daughter while her parents work and seeing her grow as they so quickly do. I’ve done some traveling and have met many wonderful new people across the United States and Canada. HASSLE FREE LESS MESS SCENTED FIRE STARTERS www.mygc.com/scentsationalfragrance

Fall is here, I can feel it in the cool air. After what seemed like a forever ending week of working out kinks in my website I decided to spend tonight snuggled up on the couch watching my fire place with the first fire of the season. I love the fire place, now that I have one I don't think I could live with out one. I remember when I first moved here and fell in love with the comforting feel of a warm fire and a cozy couch. I didn't however enjoy the paper shredding and small branches needed to get the fire going. It seemed like it took to much time to get the fire going not to mention what seemed like a ton of ashes to shovel out the next day. That was when I decided to give the scented fire starters a try. I still laugh at myself when I look back at my first attempt at using them. I put the log on the iron base added a scented fire starter on top and lit the edge. Well it was cool to see the scented fire started burn around the edge and look like it was a wick from a candle and the little container it was in burned evenly down for 20 minutes or more. What didn't happen was my wood log getting lit. So by trial and error I learned to first put the scented fire starter under the iron base that held the log of wood. Then add the log. I then lit the fire starter and with in 20 minutes the log of wood was lit and a nice toasty fire was going. No kidding, no paper or twigs required. I was so excited to clean out the ashes the next day as there were so much less then when using paper and twigs. I absolutely love the scented fire starters, they burn for twenty minutes and start the log on fire and totally melt away. It saves so much time and energy by eliminating paper shredding and twig breaking and most importantly it eliminates so much ash for cleaning up. One of my favorite things other then easy clean up and less work is the fact that they are scented! Yup that's right, they are scented and it is so wonderful to hear people come to the door and say how wonderful the smell is as they are entering our walkway. I highly recommend these to any one who camps or has a fire place. They retail for $8.48 for a box of 12 pre selected assorted scents. Our newest BIRTHDAY tradition. I get so excited and feel so festive when it comes to celebrating birthdays with my family. This year I chose to start a new tradition. I got a 26 oz Birthday cake candle and for the entire day of some ones Birthday I light it. I only burn it for four hours at a time through out the day and enjoy the fragrance of a fresh baked Birthday cake. This true to life fragrance can make anyone think a cake is being baked as they enter the house. I burn only this one fragrance through out the day and then put the cover on and store it until the next Birthday. As long as it’s not raining, cloudy days are better for cleaning windows because the

Papaya Passion Citronella

A must have for the campers, how wonderful it is to smell the sweet fragrance of papaya as you address the issue of mosquito's and other bugs. These great citronella candles are for outdoor use only and are also available in Jasmine fragrance. These 14oz candles are filled to a lower fill line to prevent the wind blowing them out. They make a conversation piece as well. I must also add that while it is important not to forget the citronella candle is is just as important to bring along the fire starters. Most of today has been spent cleaning while experiencing a spa like atmosphere. Sounds crazy but since our little darling was coming into our home in February we decided to not use chemical household cleaners. It was exciting to think we loved her so much we would go to every step to keep her in a safe environment. We have committed to only using homeology products. The all purpose cleaner is great for any surface including granite. The combination of rosemary, peppermint, eucalyptus and spearmint essential oils incorporated into this amazing cleaner make you relax, who would of thought that cleaning could also be so therapeutic? It really impressed me when it cut grease and did an awesome job on the tough jobs. We originally got the 35 oz bottle with sprayer but now we just order the refills and use our original bottle with sprayer. Before the little darling arrived, I use to use comet to scrub my tub, toilet and shower. Now we keep in the homeology line and use the Mandarin Eucalyptus Glove cleanse. It is a fine powder similar to comet but is safe for my family and the environment. The essential oils leave a fresh fragrance of mandarin, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus and clove.

Homeology also has Lavender Eucalyptus sweet orange floor cleaner, that works great on all floor types including hardwood and laminate. The essential oils add a spa like fragrance to your home. I use it differently then described, I add a little to my bucket of clean water and mop away. It works great and smells even better. Peppermint Eucalyptus glass cleaner finalizes the line of homeology cleaners. Casaba Melon Sunset, fragrance of the day

My choice of fragrance today is Casaba Melon Sunset, the weather is beautiful, it's bright and sunny and the sun just warms you from head to toe. I have had a great day lounging in a deck chair in the warm sun. The smell of Casaba Melon Sunset only increased my feeling of being in a tropical climate.
