As we spend this day remembering all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and all those who continue to be willing to. I want to send out a HUGE thank you to all of you men and women in the Military. Because of your heroic commitments we get to sleep a little better each night. I am a Marine Mom and I can tell you, it isn’t easy to have your child out there willing to make that sacrifice. I recall his deployment and the letter he had sent me just in case something happened. “Mom, this is the path I have chosen and good or bad, I need you to respect the decision I made”. It still brings tears to my eyes, I am one of the fortunate ones who has had their child returned to US soil alive. It may seem like it is all great, but the scars that are forever imbedded in my child will never be forgotten. Watching him try to cope with all of those he has loved and lost is such a devastating site. When you see a Military member, today or any day, just remember that although they are here with us does not mean that they are okay. These men and women see stuff that we could never imagine and when you divide the amount of pay by the hours they put in, these men and women work for our freedom and safety. The amount of money they make wouldn’t meet minimum wage in any state. Thank you to all of you brave military men and women. You all deserve a medal in my book.

Candle Sale, Memorial Day Weekend!

Memorial Day weekend sale! It’s that time of year again when we will all be getting outside and enjoying the great outdoors. I love camping and am over joyed with knowing that my favorite camping necessities are on sale! As much as I love camping, there are a few things that I can do without. One would be the mosquitoes. It will burn for 20 minutes and set fire to your logs. I can not tell you how time consuming these firestarters are. They can be used in fireplaces also, I am just trying to throw some essential camping tips out there to you!
